Our mission - To improve the lives of those experiencing or touched by brain disorders.
Neuropsychology is the study of the relationship between brain function and behaviour. Clinical Neuropsychologists have specialist knowledge and training in the management of changes in thinking and behaviour that may arise from various forms of known or suspected brain dysfunction.
A thorough assessment usually takes between 4 to 6 hours to complete. In that time the Neuropsychologist will take a thorough history and administer a range of penical and paper tests of thinking, concentration, memory, language, problem-solving and other aspects of cognition and mood.
Our Neuropsychologists have expertise in the management of cognitive, behavioural and emotional problems secondary to neurological disorders. They have specialist skills in developing individualised rehabilitation programs designed to assist the client to develop strategies and other coping mechanisms.
